Lab Description
I am specialized in metaphysical problems concerning personal identity. I am also interested in the issues interconnected between metaphysics and ethics such as the evil of death and freedom and moral responsibility.
My research is centered on the following topics:1. The debates between psychological approach versus biological approach regarding our persistence conditions 2. The question of what we are: are we essentially persons or animals? 3. Why is death bad?4. How can we explain our asymmetrical attitudes toward early birth and late death? 5. Does moral responsibility requires freedom to do otherwise? 6. Is free will compatible with determinism?
