Lab Description
Our lab (EMSDL) is conducting research on next-generation secondary battery (electrode and electrolyte material development / interfacial stabilization / mechanism improvement) to overcome the problems such as the limited enery density, rising materials prices, degradation and explosiveness during operation. Research on various secondary battery systems secures extensive experience and creates new opportunities through their similarities and differences.Furthermore, to overcome the price increase of key raw materials for lithium ion batteries such as Li, Co, and Ni, we're striving to develop new materials and methodologies for more convenient, eco-friendly and economical recycling of waste batteries. Battery development and recycling research activities cover the entire life cycle (birth & death) of secondary batteries and provide new perspectives and opportunities that have not been seen from traditional outlook.
