inter-ideograph;line-height:150%">In the 21st century, the world faces more serious problems than ever before with food (F), energy (E), environment (E), and disease (D), FEED. To solve these fundamental problems of mankind, our group conducts research on light. Light, in particular, can be applied in a variety of ways as one of nature's mechanisms for transporting energy and information from one place to another with wavelengths and frequencies. Thus, understanding how light can be efficiently absorbed and converted into a useful form of energy can provide a fundamental understanding of how Photosensitizer can be designed to use and control light more effectively.inter-ideograph;line-height:150%"> inter-ideograph;line-height:150%">Based on this, we have researched on thiophene or metal (Ir and Pt) complex based photosensitizers toward energy harvesting (dye-sensitized solar cells, polymer solar cells, and perovskite solar cells), photo rechargeable battery system for energy recycling, and photodynamic therapy through controlling wavelength and frequency of photosensitizer. Especially, we are on the way to develop non-invasive next-generation cancer treatment platform in hypoxia conditions. inter-ideograph;line-height:150%">In addition, new ultrasonic chemistry was developed by utilizing ultrasonic spray characteristics that can artificially control the wavelength and frequency. By the using of ultrasound effect that releases enormous energy when the vacuum bubble collapses, we easily developed hetero/multi-atom doped carbon-based materials (graphene, carbon nanotube and etc.) and conjugated microporous polymer materials for energy storage (super capacitor and battery electrode) and catalyst (CO2 reduction catalyst and ammonia synthetic catalyst for ammonia production at room temperature and pressure).inter-ideograph;line-height:150%"> inter-ideograph;line-height:150%">
inter-ideograph;line-height:150%">Therefore, we firmly believe that our group research topics (FEED) contribute to sustainable goals such as food (F), energy (E), environment (E), and disease (D) adopted by the United Nations, thereby nourishing our society while contributing to achieving a better and supportable future for all of us.
