Abstract
Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) 2 O 2 ) is a critical environmentally friendly chemical and potential liquid fuel that has been widely applied in various fields. Solar-driven H2O2 2 O 2 production presents remarkable sustainability compared to the traditional anthraquinone method. Covalent organic frameworks (COFs) integrate high crystallinity, inherent porosity, excellent durability, and rich active sites. In the past few years, COFs, as a new type of metal-free photo-catalyst, have experienced explosive development in the photosynthesis of H2O2. 2 O 2 . In the current review, we discuss the fundamental concepts of photosynthesis of H2O2 2 O 2 and systematically summarize the research progress of COF materials for photo-catalytic H2O2 2 O 2 production. We analyze the factors that affect the photo-catalytic performance of H2O2 2 O 2 and evaluate strategies to improve photo-catalytic activity. Finally, the prospects and challenges of COF-based photo-catalysts in this emerging field are envisioned to guide the design and synthesis of high-performance photo-catalytic systems.
