Abstract
In this study, the effect of stimulus presenting method side-by-side or sequential on hue perception and warm-cool feelings of colored lightings was investigated were adapted to either 3500K or 5000K. The psychophysical experiment was carried out in a dark room using LCD monitor. In the experiment, a total of 48 test colors around both 3500K and 5000K were generated, and 13 participants assessed the hue perception and warm-cool feelings of each test color. The results show that 5000K experimental result did not show the hue or warm-cool feeling differences by the stimulus presenting method while under 3500K adaptation condition, colors look yellower and warmer when the reference and test colors are displayed side-by-side compared to those shown using sequential presentation method.
