Abstract
Cancer is the most death cause of the Korea. Therefore, to treat the cancer, many methods are existing. Surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy is the most common treat method of the cancers. However, most of them, many side effects are existing. So, using supramolecular chemistry is the new method to treat the cancer, and make reduce the side effect compare with other methods. To make supramolecular polymerization, many methods are existing, one of them, I use host-guest interaction. Because, host-guest interaction is reversible modularity and switching the guest molecules according the binding constant. Host is large molecule or aggregate such as an enzyme and molecular entity possessing convergent binding sites. And guest is monatomic cation or simple inorganic anion, so possesses divergent binding sites. Also, making targeting the mitochondria, using low concentration of the drug, we can make polymerization in the mitochondria, and make to reduce the side effects. Therefore, using all these systems, host is cucurbituril that has many guest molecules and control the size of the cavity and guest is pyridine that is lipophilic cations, so targeting the mitochondria of the cancer cell because mitochondria of the cancer cell is negative more than other cells. In living cells, in normal cell, host guest reactions are occurred but little to make reversible to divide by host and guests, so that can penetrate the cells. But in cancer cell, that is polymerization occur that cannot reversible, mitochondria can get stress and go into the apoptosis.
