산소환원 전극용 촉매 및 이의 제조방법에 관한 것으로, 상기 촉매는 이온성 액체로 개질된 후 환원된 산화 그래핀 나노시트의 담지체, 및 상기 담지체에 담지된 금속 또는 금속산화물의 나노입자를 포함한다.
상기 산소환원 전극용 촉매는, 이온성 액체로 개질된 후 환원된 산화 그래핀 나노시트를 촉매 담지체로 사용하고, 용액 기반 성장 메커니즘에 의해 금속 또는 금속산화물의 나노입자를 상기 촉매 담지체 위에 형성, 성장시켜 제조됨으로써, 우수한 산소환원 촉매 효과와 함께 증가된 전기전도도를 나타내어 전기화학적 특성을 현저히 개선시킬 수 있다. 이에 따라 금속 공기 전지, 아연 공기 전지, 알카라인 연료전지 등에서의 산소환원 전극용 촉매로서 유용하다.
