소듐 메탈 이차 전지용 전해질, 및 이를 포함하는 소듐 메탈 이차 전지에 관한 것이다.
구체적으로, 소듐 염; 환형 카보네이트계 용매로 이루어진 제1 용매; 및 선형 카보네이트계 용매, 에테르계 용매, 또는 이들의 조합으로 이루어진 제2 용매;를 포함함으로써 전해질 자체의 이온 전도성을 향상시키고, 상기 제1 용매 및 상기 제2 용매보다 환원 분해 경향성이 높은 물질인 환원 분해성 첨가제;를 포함함으로써 소듐 메탈 음극과의 계면 안정성을 향상시키는 전해질을 본 발명의 일 구현예로 제공한다.
또한, 상기 전해질을 적용한 소듐 메탈 이차 전지를 본 발명의 다른 일 구현예로 제공한다.
