Abstract
Highly conjugated microporous polymers (HCMPs) were prepared through Schiff base reaction. Interestingly, HCMPs have been constructed via pi-conjugated building units in both vertex and linkers. The emission of HCMPs was tunable from green to red with moderate fluorescence quantum efficiency in the solid state, which was dominated via the pi-conjugation effects in the vertex. The pi-conjugation effects have been identified via the electronic structure calculations of HCMPs. This point suggested a new design of emissive materials.
