Abstract
Diamond-shaped gold nanostructures (DGN) are made using interference lithography technique. DGN show multiple plasmonic peaks since the particle size is large. The dependence of inter- and intraparticle plasmonic field on Surface Enhnaced Raman Scattering (SERS) is discussed. The morphology and Raman intensity of DGN are characterized by SEM and Raman spectroscopy. Finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) simulations are performed to find optimum spacing between particles for enhanced SERS. The experimental results are in good agreement with the simulated results. This technique can be used to produce large area and well aligned metal periodic structures with advantage of SERS.
