Abstract
The various NiO nanostructures such as flower-like hierarchical architectures, nanoslices, and nanoplates have been synthesized by sol-gel method. The morphologies of NiO nanostructures were controlled by changing Ni precursors and adjusting the PH of the solution. The nanoporous morphology in NiO nanostructures have been developed during the calcination process of ß-Ni(OH)2 nanocystals, formed from Ni precursor solution. The synthesized products were characterized by XRD, SEM, TEM and BET. The NiO nanostructures with various morphologies are able to be applied in many fields such as supercapacitors, gas sensors, and secondary batteries.
