dc.description.abstract This paper presents a novel sensor structure that can be used for navigation in medical intubation or endoscopie procedures. By utilizing coil sets of untraditional shape, a compact and easily implementable system can be designed. Unlike oxygen sensors or x-ray imaging equipment, it requires minimum modification on existing intubation devices. Modeling schemes and computation methods are explained. An optimum design for practical endoscopy applications is to be developed in the near future. © 2014 IEEE. -
