This article links institutionalism in organizational theory with research on sexual harassment. The institutional environments are examined both on the societal level in the form of federal courts and state statutes and appellate court system and on the organizational field level in the form of occupational traditionalism. The regulative, normative, and cultural-cognitive aspects of institutions are discussed respectively. |
