Abstract
Methylene blue dye is a common cytological dye used in pathological detection of malarial parasite present inside an infected RBC. Recently developed microfluidic microscopic systems for malarial detection in limited resource settings are capable of detecting infected cells using mobile phone based Imaging Flow Cytometry (IFC). However the sample preparation procedure is not completely automated. We report a disolvable nanofiber mebrane based malarial stain membrane that can be integrated on chip and used on demand just by flusing a PBS soulution containig the RBC cells and incubated for 2 minutes.
