Abstract
This paper presents the accuracy assessments of various methods for calculating the diffusion coefficients in a two-step reactor core analysis of light water reactors. A total of twelve combinations of transport correction methods (no/inflow/outflow corrections) and critical spectrum calculation methods (no/B1/P1/FM) have been investigated. Numerical test results with a quarter core problem show that the combination of inflow transport correction and fundamental mode critical spectrum calculation is more accurate than the other combinations in terms of eigenvalues and assembly power distributions.
