The 6D C&S (Crystallography, Scattering and Spectroscopy) bending-magnet beamline of the Pohang Accelerator Laboratory is equipped with easily convertible multi-stations of macromolecular crystallography, powder X-ray diffraction, small-/wide-angle X-ray scattering, grazing-incidence X-ray scattering, and X-ray absorption spectroscopy experiment. Each experimental station is systematically well organized to be quickly switchable from one mode to the other mode, which is especially beneficial for the detailed study of hierarchical structure of energy materials. The beamline delivers X-rays in the range from 5 to 21 keV using Si(111) Double Crystal Monochromator (DCM) and the focused beam size at the crystallography sample position of 120 μm FWHM by the combination of sagittal bending of the second crystal in the DCM and toroidal focusing mirror. In this talk, the beamline schematics and experimental equipment are discussed to realize easily switchable multi-stations of different experimental modes, as well as user-friendly macro programs and data treatment software.
