Abstract
This Letter presents a fluorescent light energy harvesting method using a capacitive touch screen to charge a phone battery. The proposed idea utilises additional power circuitry, i.e., AC to DC and DC to DC converters to provide DC power to the load. Fluorescent light used in the experiment had a 29.56-V peak-to-peak voltage at 38 kHz frequency. Experimental measurements show that the fluorescent light energy harvesting system can generate 835 mu W of power.
