Abstract
라텍스 변성 시멘트 mortar에 이용하기 위하여 음이온성(sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate) 및 비이온성(nonylphenoxy poly(ethyleneoxy)ethanol) 혼합유화제를 이용하여 styrene-butadiene의 공중합을 행하였다. 혼합유화제의 HLB값이14.4∼14.9일때 중합수율이 높고 안정된 SBR라텍스를 얻을수 있었다. 유화제, 개시제, 전해질등의 농도 변화가 라텍스의 입경 및 입경분포에 미치는 영향을 고찰하였다. 또 중합수율이 14.5%에서 유화제를 추가로 주입했을때 2nd nucleation으로 인하여 원하는 입경분포를 얻을 수 있음을 알았다. 이렇게 얻은 SBR 라텍스를 시멘트 mortar에 혼합하여 가공시험을 행한 결과 굽힘강도, 압축강도, 접차강도 등이 향상됨을 관찰 할 수 있었다. Emulsion polymerization of styrene-butadiene comonomer has been conducted to investigate the effect of anionic-nonionic emulsifier mixture. concentration of initiator and electrolyte on the size and size distribution of latex particles for the purpose of application in the latex modified cement mortar. It was found that the emulsifier mixture consisting of sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate and nonylphenoxy poly(ethylene oxy)ethanol with high combined HLB value in the range of 14.4 to 14.9 gave stable SBR latices with high conversion. The effects of emulsifier. initiator, and electrolyte concentration on the polymer particle size were studied. It was found that SBR latices of average particle size 0.17 micron with broad size distribution have desirable bending, compression and adhesion strength to the SBR latex modified cement matar.
