Lab Description
For the survival of human civilization, carbon neutrality is a problem facing humanity as a whole, not just a specific individual, company, city, or country. The Republic of Korea also actively participated in the global trend and declared the 2050 carbon neutral plan. The realization of carbon neutrality in 2050 is possible through the use of electricity and hydrogen energy, energy efficiency improvement using digital technology, construction of a circular economy, absorption of natural and ecological carbon, and CCUS. In addition, it is very important to increase the utilization of hydrogen energy while converting carbon into a resource using electricity produced by renewable energy technology. At Ecolab, we are actively conducting research on next-generation solar cells, thermoelectric generators, and electrocatalysts for water decomposition and carbon resources in order to take the lead to achieve the carbon neutrality.
