Lab Description
I empirically examine macroeconomic issues and their underlying mechanism based on economic theories. My research interests span macro and monetary economics, international economics, and applied time-series. Recent works include the study of monetary policy under data uncertainty, household and corporate credit in emerging economies, and the relationship between macroeconomic conditions and wage inequality. I am also interested in time-series forecasting and empirical methods that help in understanding macroeconomic dynamics. My long-term research agenda includes interactions between financial markets and the macroeconomy, the behavior of inflation and unemployment, fluctuations in consumption and investment, the sources of macroeconomic fluctuations, and the use of machine learning in economics.
