- Polymer Nano-composites and Carbon fiber (PnC) lab focus its attention on understanding nano- and/or micro-structure of polymer-based nano-composite materials and manipulating them to tailor and enhance the resulting material properties. In addition, we are actively working on development of next generation Carbon Fiber based on the thorough comprehension of aforementioned polymer-based materials. The interdisciplinary research topic of our laboratory includes polymer chemistry, physics, and processing. Our specialty on carbonaceous material may also contributes to various research fields such as extreme environment structural materials, energy storage, energy conversion, sensing, etc.
