Research Interests
Our research group is mainly focusing on the adipocyte biology at the level of metabolism and cancer.
Through underlying the molecular mechanisms of obesity-related metabolic diseases, we aim to develop novel therapeutics for the metabolism and cancers. Main research topics are listed in below;1. Adipose tissue remodeling via modulation of extracellular matrix proteins2. Development of adipokine-based therapeutics for obesity-related metabolic diseases3. Underlying the signaling networks between stromal adipocytes and cancer cells within the tumor microenvironment4. Underlying the molecular mechanisms of metabolic stress-induced alteration of cancer cell behaviors
