Our dedicated studies include carbon dioxide capture and storage (CCS) to mitigate global warming and to pursue the clean use of fossil fuels. Major research interests are applications of gas hydrates to energy and environmental systems focusing on CO2 capture, CO2 storage, natural gas storage and transportation, and hydrogen storage. Gas hydrates are solid inclusion compounds in which gas molecules are trapped within a crystal structure of water and have many technical applications due to the ability to capture specific gas components.
