He subsequently joined the same department as a postdoctoral researcher. His research focuses on the design and development of nanostructured functional materials for sustainable energy and environmental applicaJong-Beom Baek received his PhD degree from the University of Akron (USA, 1998). He is currently a distinguished professor/director of the Department of Energy and Chemical Engineering/Center for Dimension was elected as a member of the Korean Academy of Science and Technology in 2021. His current research interests include the mechanochemical synthesis of materials for sustainable applications.
