dc.description.abstract This study investigates the display neutral color perception of see-through displays and compares them with that of conventional opaque displays. The neutral colors of see-through displays were examined under three levels of ambient lighting conditions, 3,000, 5,000 and 6,500 K, while opaque displays were assessed under 3,000 K ambient lighting. The display neutral color chromaticity for both see-through and opaque displays under the same ambient condition were nearly identical when both displays have the same luminance, suggesting that color appearance perception is mainly determined by the amount light entering the eye rather than the type of display. -
