dc.description.abstract This study proposes a neutral color prediction model designed to determine the chromaticity of a display perceived as having no hue under various ambient lighting conditions. The model is based on neutral color data points collected across 68 experimental conditions, incorporating nine ambient chromaticity levels and multiple surround ratios. It predicts how the display's neutral color changes based on the luminance ratio between the display and ambient light, particularly when the display is brighter than the surrounding environment. Validation results demonstrate the model's effectiveness in predicting the preferred display white point. -
