dc.description.abstract A local magnitude (ML5.4) earthquake struck the Pohang city on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at 14:29:31 local time (05:29:31 UTC). Gokgang-ri located in the northern Pohang city experienced various damages during the Pohang earthquake. While a northern part of Gokgang-ri experienced severe damages, a southern part experienced only limited damages. We conclude that the different extents of damages between the two parts are attributed to topographic effects based on aftershock ground motions recordings at four temporary seismic stations. -
