dc.description.abstract In this work, we demonstrate efficient third-harmonic generation from plasmonic metasurfaces coupled to a multi-quantum-well structure designed to have a giant third order nonlinear response. Experimentally we achieved an effective third-order nonlinear susceptibility of up to 4.4 × 10−14 m2V−2 and 1.8 × 10-3 % of power conversion efficiency for third-harmonic generation from 400nm-thick metasurfaces with an input pump intensity of 210 kW cm−2. -
