During arc welding training, it should be carried out in an environment limited to fire caused by flame and high voltage usage, and a lot of materials and energy are consumed during the training process. During this training process, a welding system is needed that uses VR technology to create a virtual welding environment and has the same effect as an actual arc welding training tool. Therefore, a novel VR-based welding system is proposed and developed to relieve these problems. The welding rod of the devices is changed in length as welding progresses, and it also makes an effect of sticking to a target plate. The welding device is implemented with a welding holder to provide a specific angle of 90 or 135 degrees. A VR tracker is installed to predict the location of the welding device and the endpoint of the welding rod. The target plate is implemented using an electromagnet, and a VR tracker is also used to track the location of the target plate. Trainees train welding with an HMD equipment, the welding device, and the target plate. A flame will occur on the screen of HMD if welding conditions are met, or the welding rod and the target plate will stick together under certain conditions. |
