Metal-organic frameworks are now becoming a new platform for science and technology. Driven by highly flexible nature of building blocks, organic linkers and metal nodes, unprecedented phenomena are occasionally introduced in this rapidly expanding community. In this presentation, I would like to pinpoint the origin of such peculiar phenomena in MOFs and related materials with respect to self-assembly in all scales. |
