본 발명의 미토콘드리아에 표적화되는 수용성 화합물, 이를 포함하는 조성물 및 이의 제조방법은 수용성으로 인해 수성 매질에서의 분산이 용이하도록 하여 응집으로 인한 다양한 변형을 방지함과 동시에 미토콘드리아 표적화 능력 및 광 안정성을 향상시킬 수 있다.
또한, 본 발명은 미토콘드리아에 표적화되는 수용성 화합물이 마이셀 구조를 이루고 있고, 이러한 마이셀을 포함하는 조성물 제공함으로써 다양한 세포 내 효소에 의한 분해를 방지할 수 있고, 세포 내 소기관 중 하나인 미토콘드리아를 효과적으로 표적할 수 있어 질병 치료 효과를 증진시킬 수 있다.
