dc.description.abstract A new electrodeless dielectrophoresis (DEP) chip utilizing microfabricated plastic membranes have been designed and tested for the first time, as far as we are aware. The DEP forces are significantly enhanced because there are two dimensional geometric constrictions in the proposed pore type traps compared to the one dimensional geometric constriction in the previously reported DEP traps using glass post arrays. -
