dc.description.abstract Use of tetrazolate-based ligand 4-aminophenyl-1H-tetrazole (L) enables the formation of [Cd1.5L2(OH)(H2O)]•0.5DMF•0.5H2O, featuring a robust porous metal-organic framework. Crystal structure analysis demonstrates that Cd(II) ions are coordinated by L and μ3-OH to form 2-D interdigitated layers, which are further connected by hydrogen bonding to form 3-D structure with 1-D channels. The host framework is stable up to 300 oC, and rigid enough to undergo transformation from single crystal to single crystal after the removal of guest molecules. -
