dc.description.abstract The flattening of the radial power distribution of UCFR-1000 has been performed by loading the thorium fuel in the inner core region to perform fuel zoning. It has been confirmed that the fuel zoning has an effect on not only the radial power distribution but also maximum neutron flux, active core movement, and even the core life time, while the fluence, average discharge burnup, and breeding ratio remain consistent. Through the normalized power distribution figures, the relationship between the power flattening and the active core movement in both radial and axial directions has been analyzed. -
