dc.description.abstract A 2-MOF, [Ni3(BTC)2(pz)3(H2O)X], (where, H3BTC = 1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylic acid; pz = pyrazine) could not be synthesized via one-pot de novo solvothermal reaction. The 2-MOF has been achieved via postsynthetic ligand exchange. By soaking an 1-MOF, [Ni3(BTC)2(bp)3(H2O)X)],(where bp = 4,4’-bipyridine) in a 0.5 M of pz DMF solution, bp pillaring ligands in 1-MOF were exchanged to the shorter pz pillaring ligands completely to form the 2-MOF. The various properties of this MOF will be discussed. -
