dc.description.abstract Highly nonlinear response from plasmonic metasurfaces based on combining electromagnetically-engineered plasmonic nanoresonators with quantum-engineered intersubband nonlinearities was studied. Experimentally, a record-high nonlinear optical response of 1.2×106 pm/V was measured for second harmonic generation at λ~9.9 μm. -
