dc.description.abstract Supercapaictor has been attracted to next-generation energy system because of its high power density, fast charge-discharge rate and long lifetime. Generally, carbon materials were widely used as an effective electrode in supercapacitor due to its large surface area and high conductivity. In this work, we fabricated nanoporous gold (NPG) films using a very simple and safe method and the NPG films have large surface area and much higher conductivity than carbon materials. For pseudocapacitor, we coated the polyaniline (PANI) on the NPG films by electro-polymerization of aniline. To develop the stable and uniform structure of PANI, we optimized the coating conditions such as electrolyte, applied voltage, and coating time. Our PANI/NPG films show many attractive features including large capacitance, high stability and fast charge-discharge rate. Notably, our samples are stable even after 500 cycles of charge-discharge while conventional PANI is usually suffering from long-term stability. Our method can be applied to manufacturing next-generation supercapacitor. Detailed results will be discussed in the presentation. -
