We present our recent progress in developing active and nonlinear metasurfaces based on coupling of intersubband transitions in multiple-quantum-well structure with electromagnetic modes in plasmonic resonators. The active metasurfaces are designed to achieve dynamic beamsteering and the nonlinear metasurfaces are designed to achieve broadband giant second-order nonlinear responses in mid infrared range.
