dc.description.abstract In this work, we introduce a new sensing platform based on plasmonic nanopedestal metamaterial absorbers which can achieve ultrasensitive sensing of monolayer biomolecules. We experimentally demonstrate monolayer detection and theoretically analyze the coupling mechanism between plasmonic and molecular vibrational resonances through the temporal coupled mode theory. -
