dc.description.abstract In pressurized water reactors (PWRs), many boron meters have been used for continuous monitoring of boron concentration in reactor coolant. There exists a strong demand for accuracy improvement of the boron meters, so boron meter model optimization was studied in this work. A study was performed on fitting curve and a combined detector. With a combined detector composed of a high-level and a low-level sensitivity detector, the boron concentration error was decreased from 17.0 ppm (Boronline) to 1.2 ppm (Rational-1-2), which showed very great improvement for the boron meter accuracy. -
