dc.description.abstract We demonstrate rough silica beads integrated on a lab-on-a-disc for a fully automated and rapid (< 30min) purification of Cell-Free DNA (cfDNA). Our cfDNA purification device was attributed to two major techniques integrated onto lab-disc, aminosilane-mediated bonded lab-on-a-disc is able to withstand solvent with chaotropic reagent and preparation of nano-scratched silica beads provides high surface area for DNA binding. Rough and large silica beads on disc can provide highly effective sample preparation for downstream clinical assays. -
