Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are cell-derived vesicles and play important role in intercellular communication. Here, we demonstrate highly sensitive, clog-free, and robust EVs isolation device using lab-on-a-disc integrated with Anodisc inorganic membrane with pore size of 20 nm. This enable us to accomplish not only efficient isolation of EVs from patient's urine samples but also on-site protein detection using ELISA. We could achieve higher recovery rate compared to conventional ultracentrifugation method. The total process time is highly reduced from 7∼9 hours to 2 hours. Our work can highly contribute to the point of care diagnostics from urine sample of cancer patients. |
