| dc.description.abstract | The design of transformable products is difficult because of the interdependency of various elements involved, and multi-functional requirements before, during and after transformation. The main problem in transformable design is that designers often have little experience in design process. As a result, the design concept often being developed without much thought given to design elements and engineering detail. This study explores difficulties faced by designers in designing transformable products and present the causes of such difficulties to infer an effective transformable design process. | - |
