From a monomer to polymers, organic materials have various intra- or inter- molecular interactions for example, intra-molecular charge transfer, inter-molecular charge transfer, covalent bond, van der Waals, hydrogen bonding, ionic interaction, or coordination. By manipulating the intra- or inter- molecular interactions of organic materials, we have founded the solutions to crisis that human beings encounters such as energy deficiency or cancer threat in which the organic materials were usefully utilized as an electronic materials or bio-functional materials. In here, I first synthesized organic sensitizers in dye sensitized solar cells (DSCs) and analyzed enhanced intra- and inter-molecular charge transfer of the sensitizers. Then, for an extended bio-application as hypoxic photo-dynamic therapy (PDT), I further applied the phenomenon of the intra- and inter-molecular electron transfer of the organic sensitizers to water oxidation PDT. Finally, based on inter-molecular interactions of polymers such as a cohesion and an adhesion, I developed a hemostatic and wound healing hydrogel inducing platelet activation to realize new hemostatic PDT system enabling both surgery and post treatment of the cancer simultaneous.
