Abstract
The bimetallic Sb2Te3-TiC compound as an anode material for use in sodium-ion batteries exhibits the exceptional electrochemical performance of a reversible capacity of around 358 mA h g(-1), a volumetric capacity of 532 mA h cm(-3) with a capacity retention of 95%, and a coulombic efficiency in excess of 98% at a current rate of 100 mA g(-1) after over 160 cycles. This study highlights the performance-enhancing adhesion capabilities of a functional binder (PAA), and the film-forming and pacifying capabilities of the FEC additive.
