Abstract
In this article, using hybrid array of wrinkle and pillar microstructures which were demonstrated as highly sensitive under bending and normal loading, a flexible tactile sensor is fabricated in cost efficient process of ultraviolet oxidation(UVO) exposure. A remarkable synergetic effect of each structural type in the sensor system is demonstrated under the bending and normal loading, that has multimodal characteristic of the much wider stress range of test and high sensitivity. Also, the system which consist of structural layer of carbon nanotube(CNT) and polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS) nanocomposite on the highly flexible substrate brings on the stable functionality under the repetitive loading. Additionally, Multi-pixel system of this sensor which has sensing capability in spatial distribution suggests applicability of flexible display, health care medical devices, biomedical mapping or artificial skin of robotics.
