Evolutionary ethics claims that mum] rules have evolved by natural selection because it was advantageous for the survival and reproduction of our ancestors. According to mural advantageous, a mural act increases inclusive fitness, and an immoral decreases inclusive fitness. Moral adaptivism immune to some criticisms leveled against utilitarianism and Kantianism It can also account for cultural diversity and the mural rule that we ought to be nice and kind to our juts. Moral adaptivism is, however, undermined by counterexamples, viz, cheaters and criminals. |
