We are developing an integrated fluidic bio-processor that can isolate various Circulating Tumor Cells (CTC) sub-populations from a patient’s peripheral blood, immunophenotype these cells, collect the DNA and detect sequence variations within that DNA. Our current focus is to develop an optical and electrical sensing platform for the quantification of abasic (AP) sites in the CTCs’ genomic DNA that can help determine response to therapy in near real-time. |
