dc.description.abstract This paper focuses on examining the impacts of social order on financial development in the context of political and institutional influence in developing and least developed countries for a period of 1985-2011. Empirical results suggest that social order affects the depth of the financial sector whereas political and institutional determinants influence the efficiency of financial institutions. -
